LOVERS FOUND DEAD IN ANKPA, KOGI STATE

Residents of Ankpa Local Government Area were thrown into shock on Friday morning following the discovery of two lifeless bodies, believed to be lovers, inside a room in the town.

The deceased, identified as Sheriff Salifu and Blessing Adama, both natives of Ankpa, were found naked and unresponsive in Salifu’s room.

According to the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, the incident came to light after Salifu’s landlord grew concerned upon not seeing him around his residence as usual. The landlord reportedly raised the alarm around 9:31 a.m., prompting Salifu’s brother to take action.

“In response, the brother to the deceased entered the room through the ceiling and found his brother, along with one Blessing Adama of Ojogobi Road, Ankpa, lying lifeless. Both of them were found naked,” SP Aya stated while confirming the incident.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the deaths, and authorities are urging the public to remain calm as they continue their inquiries.
