2FACE IDIBIA APPOINTED AS BENUE GOV’S TECHNICAL ADVISER

In a move to strengthen community engagement and boost the entertainment sector in Benue State, Governor Hyacinth Alia has appointed renowned Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face (or 2Baba), as Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.

The announcement was made on Wednesday during 2Face’s visit to the Government House in Makurdi. Governor Alia expressed gratitude to the music icon for his continuous support of the state government and his recent public endorsement of the governor's 2027 political ambitions.

“Let me thank you very firstly for supporting my administration and for proclaiming me for 2027,” Alia said.

The governor praised the artist’s longstanding influence in the entertainment industry, describing him as a "guru" whose mere name brings excitement and joy.

“So we are happy you’re here. On behalf of the state government and our very good people, I want to give you some more responsibility,” Alia added. “You have the capacity to help us chart the way forward, improve lives, and guide us with your wisdom.”

With this new appointment, 2Face is expected to play a key role in shaping entertainment initiatives and community outreach programs across the state.
