TRAFFIC ALERT FROM THE FRSC ON TUESDAY 04 SEPTEMBER, 2019 ALONG THE LAGOS - IBADAN AND THE LAGOS - OTA - ABEOKUTA EXPRESSWAYS

The FRSC Ogun State Command wishes to bring to the attention of the motoring public of the traffic situation along both the Lagos - Ibadan and Lagos - Ota - Abeokuta Expressways.Traffic has been impaired on the inward Lagos corridor of the Lagos - Ibadan Expressway due to the diversion around Kara bridge ,albeit the traffic is  moving and being managed by the FRSC assisted by sister agencies.

On the outward Lagos carriageway of the Lagos - Ibadan Expressway, there is a case of traffic impediment caused by two tankers laden with petroleum products, each conveying AGO and PMS.

While transloading has been completed for the AGO and the truck towed off the road, the other tanker landed with PMS is being transloaded.

This has led to condoning off sections of the carriageway to allow for safe transloading and safety of all the road users

In another situation, traffic is impaired around Ota close to the old toll gate on the Lagos - Ota- Abeokuta Expressway due to some protesters occupying some sections of the carriage way

While sister security agencies have been invited to cointain the situation, efforts are on to restore traffic.

The FRSC Ogun State Sector Commander, Clement Oladele has advised motorists to use the road cautiously and avoid driving against traffic, as efforts are on to restore normalcy at both Expressways.

Traffic emergencies can be made to the FRSC toll free number, 122.
