OH NO, PETER OBI DENIED US VISA?

Former Anambra State Governor and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at the just concluded 2019 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi is angry.

His angry follows a report making the rounds that he has been denied visa by the American Embassy in Nigeria.

According to the banker turned politician, there was no merit to the trending report. He noted that nobody denied him visa, as he was currently in United State of America.

He disclosed this in a statement signed by his media aide, Valentine Obienyem, who in the statement, noted that even though his critics were hell-bent on indicting him, he remained a saint amongst Nigerian Politicians.

Recall that one Austin Brown, a Facebook user had accused Obi of being denied Visa over an alleged fraud.

In the said post, he had written thus, “Breaking: U.S Embassy Denies Obi Traveling Visa Over An Alleged Fraud. The former Governor of Anambra state and PDP Vice presidential candidate for the 2019 general election, Mr Peter Obi was on Monday the 5th of August, 2019 denied access to travelling visa into United States of America from the American Embassy over an alleged fraud.

“According to an eye witness who is also a member of the 9th National Assembly, the incident followed a report from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) which indicted Mr. Obi as the 3rd fraudulent politician in Nigeria over the past five years. We must recall that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has on July indicted Mr. Peter Obi over Ten Billion, Five Hundred Million Naira which was discovered in his dollar account in Swiss Bank.

"However, whether this was instrumental and the corner stone for his restriction into the United States is yet unknown but the verifiable position as at the time of this report was that the matter has been officially reported to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria for proper investigation.”
