EFCC ARRESTS 33 ALLEGED FRAUDSTERS IN IMO STATE
As
the news of about 80 Nigerian fraudsters busted in the US by the FBI has hardly
abated, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, August
26, announced the arrest of 33 suspected internet fraudsters in Imo state, southeast
Nigeria.
Legit
reports that the anti-corruption body also
released the names of the suspects noting that they were arrested at their
hideout in Owerri, the capital of the state. The operation leading to the arrest
took place in an early morning by EFCC’s operatives from the Abuja and Enugu
zonal offices.

The names of the suspects were released by the EFCC, while items recovered from them include laptop computers, mobile phones, two Lexus RX350 SUV and a Toyota Solara salon car.
