UBANI TO GOV IKEAZU: ABIA STATE IN RUINS UNDER YOU

The immediate past 2nd National Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Mr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, has decried what he considers self glorification of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okozie Ikpeazu over his boastful achievements in the state.

In a release sent to Issuesplus Daily at the weekend,  Ubani expressed worry why a non performing governor could continue to deceive the people by giving himself accolades for what he did not do.

Hear him: "I am just listening to Mr. Okezie Ikpeazu right now on Radio Nigeria and heard that he has transformed Abia into an eldorado and fulfilled about 75 per cent of his inaugural promises to Abia State. He had lackeys like Ugocukwu Emezue sending messages, massaging his ego and praising him to high heavens for his 'unprecedented' achievements in Abia. I ask a question: Is Okezie Ikpeazu speaking about Abia State or is he talking about another state?

"Abia is in ruins. Ladies and gentlemen, I urge those who love Abia to pay a day's visit to Umuahia and Aba at least, and judge who is lying and who is telling the truth."

He maintained that Governor Ikpeazu has done nothing to make the people of Abia smile.

"Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu better wake up from sleep, your last four years was a complete failure, and going by your account today on radio, if you continue on this  path, there is nothing to smile about in Abia in the next four years," Ubani said.

He therefore advised the Governor to stop listening to those deceiving him, but to emulate his fellow governors such as Engr. Umahi of Eboyi State and former governor, Chime of Enugu State.
